Special thanks goes to Margie's mother, Marjorie Kowalski, who as a young woman living on Long Island, New York, gathered a treasure of photos, many personally autographed, of stage and screen stars dating back to the 1920's. Margie and Dick dug into the boxes of her mother's hoard and came up with hundreds of photos, clippings, scrapbooks, old sheet music and life-size-cut-outs of stars that once stood in theater lobbies to promote movies. Thus, the name Flickers - an old slang name for movies - the flicks. .
